SAN JOSE, Calif.-- International Technological University's founder Dr. Chan pioneered the pedagogy for cultivating Silicon Valley's quintessential engineer. ITU's CTO and alum, Kranthi Lammatha, perfectly manifests the founder's vision.
During the Salesforce Higher Education Summit, hosted in San Diego, CA on Tuesday, April 16th, Kranthi represented ITU and won second place for the Dave Perry Overall Excellence in Innovation award. According to Salesforce.org, the award "recognizes a college or university that is using Salesforce to fuel innovation in recruiting, student success, advancement, marketing, community and/or engagement." Kranthi is an advocate for the oversight of cybersecurity in schools & universities citing the need to protect student records and academic data. Kranthi Lammatha, CCIE Certified, designed a hardware-based IT security API that consolidates information from fifteen disparate databases helping to facilitate accessibility of real time student information while ensuring cyber security of sensitive data.
"Do or die is the old motto... do before you die is my motto," expressed Kranthi after winning the award. The young CTO's accomplishments are a testament of his beliefs. A migrant from Hyderabad, India, Kranthi earned his MS in Computer Science from ITU in 2009. He has contributed to tech teams at Sony as an IT Engineer and Cisco as a Security Architect, becoming a Cisco certified Cybersecurity Internet Expert at 21 in 2012 - the youngest at the time to attempt this achievement.
