ISG Announces New Podcast Series Examining Changing World of Digital Business

Through interviews with leading tech visionaries, subject-matter experts and industry analysts, the ISG Smartalks™ series will examine the impact on business of today's most challenging issues and disruptive technologies. Topics will include artificial intelligence, robotic process automation, cybersecurity, the future of work, the rise of Agile and DevOps, the platform economy, fostering innovation, and 5G networking, among others.

ISG is introducing its ISG Smartalks podcast series at time when interest in podcasts is exploding. According to a recent study, more than half of Americans have listened to a podcast, the first time the audience has passed 50 percent of the population over the age of 12. One-third, or 90 million, have listened to a podcast in the last month. Globally, the number of podcast series has grown nearly 30 percent – from 550,000 to more than 700,000 – in the last nine months.
The series kicks off with two episodes that take an in-depth look at the future of sourcing. Episode one, Sourcing in a Digital World, is hosted by Steve Hall, partner and president of ISG, and Barry Matthews, managing partner, ISG North Europe, who discuss the changing face of sourcing in the digital world and how the industry has had to adapt to automation, cloud computing and other digital technology, as well as to more fluid and complex provider and partner ecosystems.
Episode two, Technology Contracting in a Digital World – A Legal Perspective, features a conversation with Kit Burden of law firm DLA Piper on the changing legal and contracting aspects of sourcing in the digital age.
